Description
The Jackson-Rees circuit is commonly used in pediatric general anesthesia due to its low resistence and minimal dead space. The patient inhales fresh gas from the machine. The reservoir bag allows Anesthesiologists to observe ventilation rates during spontaneous breathing, as well as the ability to control ventilation rates by applying pressure to the bag.
