This temperature strip has a patented metal substrate (sensor) that enables STAT – TEMP II to uniquely reflect CORE TEMPERATURE, NOT SKIN TEMPERATURE. Stat-Temp II temperature strip was designed by a physician especially for use while patients are under Anesthesia. The small circular shape is necessary to successfully accommodate blood flow areas on the forehead, temple, behind the ear, over the heart and along the limbs.
size is key with this temperature strip and bigger is not better in this instance.
