JED Jaw Elevation Device, the hands free solution for MAC airway maintenance.
We are proud to introduce the airway solution for monitored anesthesia care (MAC) with the Jaw Elevation Device (JED). This hands free solution maintains an open airway during any procedure in which a patient is sedated and an airway may be compromised. The JED assists clinicians in performing an optimal jaw thrust, eliminating the need for the clinician to manually maintain the jaw thrust during the procedure. In addition, the JED may be left in place as the patient recovers following the procedure, providing an open airway until the sedation wears off.
THE JED Provides these benefits:
– Assists provider in maintaining and open airway in sedated or anesthetized patients without the need for additional instruments.
– Frees medical personnel from the need to hold the jaw manually in sedated patients.
– When left in place after a procedure, reduces post-operative airway complications.
– Non-invasive and easy to use.
– Must order H-6540 with H-6541. Mandible Cups do not come with the JED Device.
